I love patchwork and quilting; I love learning new techniques and perfecting the old ones, but most of all I enjoy passing on what I have learnt to others. The most important thing is that we all have loads of fun!

Another Kaleidoscope Frenzy

I know I've posted a picture like this before, but that was just a try-out, and in fact I got the sizes wrong.
Now I've made another 16 blocks. Here they are all laid out together, although I really plan to space them out with some plainer blocks in between. Then I think I'll do a plain black border, with some little Grandmother's Flowers appliqued all around.

Tumbling Blocks cont'd

And here's the first few hexagonal blocks laid out, just to check that I'm getting the desired effect. I'm happy so far!

Tumbling Blocks

Inspired by one of my students, Rose, I decided to have a go at a full Tumbling Blocks quilt, not just a block in a sampler quilt, which is all I've done with them up 'til now. Here's a box full of scrappy diamonds, tacked over freezer paper and sorted into lights, mediums and darks.

Quilting Holidays in Italy

Alistair and I spent a week in Italy in June sorting out the details of the Quilting Workshops that we'll be holding in Umbria next summer.
